Have to admit, i love B+W pictures. These pics were taken a couple of months ago during (again!) yet another not-so-interesting day. Was tired of watching tv, so armed with a neopan professional 400, i hit Lebuh Ampang trying to capture my "monochrome sunday" on film. That was my first attempt at street photography, so i don't think the picture turned out nicely.I was quite far from my subject, besides I don't think it was safe for me to wander around alone in that area with my camera, so i parked my butt at Burger King and wait for opportunity to come . Unfortunately it was quite an empty sunday so i was forced to walk. I was quite lucky ade show keta2 antiques infront of Sultan Abdul Samad building. Here are some of the pics i took. Advise plz especially yg dah terer street photography......

The naming of Cats

Bloo against bright light
The Naming of Cats - By T.S Elliot

The naming of cats is a difficult matter,
It isn't just one of your holiday games;
You may think at first I'm mad as a hatter
When I tell you a cat must have three
different names.

First of all, there's the name
that the family use daily,
Such as Victor, or Jonathan,
George or Bill Bailey--
All of them sensible everyday names.
There are fancier names
if you think they sound sweeter,
Some for the gentlemen,
some for the dames;
Such as Plato, Admetus,
Electra, Demeter--
But all of them sensible everyday names.

But I tell you,
a cat needs a name that's particular,
A name that is peculiar, and more dignified,
Else how can he
keep up his tail perpendicular,
Or spread out his whiskers,
or cherish his pride?

Of names of this kind,
I can give you a quorum,
Such as Munkustrap, Quazo or Coripat,
Such as Bombalurina, or else Jellyrum--
Names that never belong
to more than one cat.

But above and beyond
there's still one name left over,
And that is the name that you will never guess;
The name
that no human research can discover--
But The Cat Himself Knows,
and will never confess.

When you notice a cat in profound meditation,
The reason, I tell you, is always the same:
His mind is engaged in rapt contemplation
Of the thought, of the thought,
of the thought of his name:
His ineffable effable
Effanineffable
Deep and inscrutable singular Name.

Dedicated to my lovely Puspawaty Ramaloo (Bloo - for short). I've already got bloo her 3rd name

re: you are the only one yang noticed the noise. Used ISO 400, and was surprised to see it on some of the shots. Probably should have used 200. Fri 20-May-2005 15:06

I have always been in love with photography but i can only afford a decent camera after i started working, which is 2 years ago. As a matter of fact i always wanted to become a national geographic photographer as opposed to doctors / teachers (remember those card u need to fill in primary school). Can't remember how i went off tangent to becoming an accountant. I was obsessed with lomography at first before i crossover to SLR camera. Now i'm happy with both. I'm not a tech savvy person, so i'm still using film. Here are some pictures i took of my father at his old house in kajang. This house existed since before he was born. It's a sad story that this house have to go down to make way for my uncle's new house (isk..isk) - at least that's what i heard. So i made a project for my father called revisited. He was pretty happy with the idea.

u captured the 'mood' very well! Mon 23-May-2005 11:59
